*NSD Month @ Let's Scrap*

Things have been buzzing back at Let's Scrap with all the lovely NSD Challenges being held every day...
It's been very exciting indeed...

My take on this Challenge:
*12 Years of School*
I always wanted to do a scrapbook layout with all my school photos, so happy about this one!

Karen Frobisher's lovely challenge, NSD13#5, 5-10-13.

Really enjoyed this one, as I have never done a layout about myself scrapping...

The photo I used is very special, as Tim Holtz took it at the Convention in Johannesburg in May 2009!

This great challenge from Tiffany Duvall, made me think of this beautiful book, one of my DD's favourite books:

 *The Fault in our Stars*.

Yesterday I scrapped up a storm with my friend Susan during our usual Wednesday morning scrap session!!

This is what I created with Debby de Wilde's Card Challenge:

Our NSD Celebrations are almost to an end,
but I hope I will be getting some more scrap time before the cut off date tomorrow, 31 May, and for a few of the later challenges which we have time for until 7 June 2013!

*London Bloom*

I created this layout for Challenge #160 at Let's Scrap 

and used  the left side of Sketch 2-2-11.

 

I am a purple person, so I especially love all the purple!!

The photo was taken while walking in a London street, near Chelsea {if I remember correctly} in 2009.

We were on our way to visit my cousin Angie in Heathfield and got lost between the trains...

At the end, we did take the wrong train and ended up in totally the wrong place, but 3 nice gentlemen at the station helped us to get on the right train!  So we got to Heathfield a bit late, but what a treat!!  {Scrapbook layout to follow... ;-)}

This one is definitely one of my favourite photos in my London album!

*Horse Riding*

This week's great sketch by Jeaunes Viljoen at Let's Scrap was so much fun to play with...

  I was so much reminded of our Horse Riding adventure / excursion a few years ago in the bushes of Klein Kariba near Nylstroom, one of my favourite places in the world.

{My friend Susan says that sometimes she wakes up at night knowing exactly which photos to use on which scrapbook layout... although I have also had awakenings like these and even dreams... to me, these specific horse riding photos have just been there waiting anxiously to be scrapped...} ;-)

Well, I don't know much about Horses or Horse Riding...  but I do find horses to be such magestic and magical creatures...
And this was only the 2nd time in my life I was horse riding...

the first was as a child on my Grandfather Eddie's plot. 

 It was a few days after my birthday and when I got up in the morning I said to my family: "Let's go horse riding", and my kids' were like: "YAYYY!!!" And let me tell you, it's not an easy task if you are not used to riding a horse... But boy, WHAT A THRILL it was!!
The only bad part was that the white horse ran away with my DD Elaine right into a bush, she got such a fright and her leg was bleeding, but luckily not too serious.

But this day, we did what they call: "Live Life to the fullest!"
That is what the "Jump. Show. Gallop" is for:

Just for the Show we Jumped & Galloped! ;-)

I wrote the journaling on the back and some on the tags.
The paper is from Karen Forster which I had in my stash from a few years ago...

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did creating this special layout!!
